    CMC LEADS INADEC TO FINANCIAL LITERACY

    The Committee on Capital Market (CMC) held recently a seminar on Capital Market, addressed to officials of the National Institute of Consumer Protection (INADEC) under the Financial Literacy Program promoted by the institution to potential partners.

    According to José Matoso, Director of Communication and Investor of the CMC, the initiative had the partnership of the Consumer Protection Institute and the Investor, aimed to provide participants with in-depth notions about the actual functioning of the Angolan capital market.

    "This is the first action under the protocol signed between CMC and INADEC in 2014. With this session we share concepts and procedures, we were able to give the training bases for members of INADEC and other institutions specialized on consumer protection in order to broaden their scope of action, "he said.

    In turn, the General Director of INADEC, Paulina Semedo, was pleased and considered laudable. "This CMC initiative was positive and on behalf of INADEC, I appreciate the know-how that has been provided in terms of financial literacy. With this seminar certainly we can contribute more effectively in order to increase the literacy rate of Angolans at this point is below 24%, "he said.

    The CMC Financial Literacy Program is being published since 2015 to several public and private institutions, with the main objective to educate society in the financial procedures, ways to establish knowledge bases to allow the gradual asymmetry disposal in information.

    The CMC is responsible for regulating institution, supervision, monitoring and promotion of securities markets and derivatives in Angola.
