Angola’s 2013 GDP at 6.8 percent
Angolan minister of Finance, Armando Manuel, announced that the initial growth forecast of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Angola in 2013 is of 6.8 percent. .
Armando Manuel, who spoke at the ceremony of approving the reports and accounts of public enterprises, said he hoped that "in a mid-term, the economy might record six-percent GDP growth rates and that the on-going reforms focussed on the public enterprise sector enable to contribute significantly to the growth rate expected".
The minister promised efforts to ensure the maintenance of a favourable economic environment for businesses, particularly those of the non-oil sector.
Armando Manuel pointed out, as part of these efforts, the approval of agreements that begin having an impact on the economy in 2014 and 2015 and that consolidate tax reform in the Corporate Tax sector, Work Income and the fitting of transverse codes, the general tax code, the tax procedure and tax foreclosures.
